The new national curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which our teachers are planning exciting and stimulating lessons which improve pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills.

Developing and tailoring the national curriculum to meet the needs of our children, at Mytchett, is a shared focus for the whole school community including; staff, governors and parents. The children themselves are integral to this process and through various forums, for example school council, are consulted regularly.

Integral to the development of our school curriculum is the promotion of children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We know that a strong foundation in this will support pupils in upholding the values of respect and tolerance in their future lives.
