Key Stage 2 Curriculum
Key Stage Two – Children Aged 7-11 yrs – for children in Year 3 (Nightingales), Year 4 (Kingfishers), Year 5 (Eagles) and Year 6 (Falcons)
Key Stage 2 lasts for four years and ends when the children transfer to secondary school at the age of eleven. In May of the final year, children are assessed by their teachers and take National tests in Reading, Spelling and Grammar and Maths. Children are guided by the sharing of ‘next steps’ in their learning; they are encouraged to be aware of their own progress and to strive for improvement and higher levels of achievement as they follow the National Curriculum.
Children in Key Stage 2 study the National Curriculum as well as PSHCE and RE for which we follow the Surrey syllabus
