Assessment
At Mytchett, along with the other academies within our Trust, we use the Kite Academy Trust planning and assessment tracking system. This system takes the whole child into account including their attendance, attitude to learning, rewards and academic progress.
We have an annual workshop, usually in September, for families, either in person or remotely, to introduce the Assessment & Tracking system to our families. This is intended for all our Year 1 families and any family new to our academy who would be unfamiliar with the system.
You will be given a personalised copy of the assessment sheets used for reading, writing, maths and science for your child at Progress Evenings and with each report.

Early Years
In Early Years (Nursey and Reception) assessment information is shared with parents on an ongoing basis through Tapestry. The first meeting of the year is a home visit, these are usually held in the first week or two of September. A written report is shared with parents at the end of the school year.
